    Bio:
The picture has been painted: “Little boys with muscles and a mustache.” These are the headliners of our era. They crave power and authority, reject responsibility, hate on the next man, boast in themselves and feed their flesh, living as though they have no one to answer to. But they do. We all do. God created us with a purpose in mind. And men, God has called you to lead. But what does that look like?

The Man Up album, in conjunction with the Man Up campaign, seeks to answer that question by offering the soundtrack to the movement! Lecrae, Trip Lee, Sho Baraka, Tedashii, Pro, KB and Andy Mineo are calling men in the Hip-hop culture to true biblical manhood summed up by: leading courageously, rejecting passivity, accepting responsibility and pursuing humility, through repentance and faith in Christ.

The soundtrack kicks off with the entire unit collaborating for the inspiring Cheesebeats-produced Man Up Anthem, which offers a diagnosis of society, acknowledges the struggles present within it and prescribes a solution to becoming a man despite it—“…stand up and see the hands of the standard—Holy is the Lamb. Now we holding you to Man Up, ‘cus we were made in His image; start looking at what you came from!” Each track that follows takes on an aspect of biblical manhood and offers practical application with production from DJ Official, Pro, Dirty Rice and others. First up, is the challenge to learn how to follow in order to lead by way of the Big Juice-produced banger “Authority.” Next, Sho, Trip, Pro, Lecrae and Tedashii tackle the “Responsibility” of mankind to steward all God has given and “have His mission on our mind.” The sample-driven “Envy,” plays on the futile, never-ending competition between men—fighting for fleeting status rather than being content in their position in Christ. “Courage” strides in asserting a confidence only to be found in God and for God’s glorification. The stirring, sermon-infused “Temptation” addresses warring with the flesh daily and Pastor Leonce Crump II caps it off by challenging the idea that manhood is defined by sexuality rather than obedience to godly restrictions. “Repentance,” the melodic, final track on the soundtrack, is a confession of wrongdoing and cry for divine empowerment to become the men God intended.

While Man Up: The Soundtrack walks through what it takes to become a real man; the message is not one of self-help. “Manning up is our ability to lay down all of our effort and all of our trying and all of our strength and say I trust in Jesus. I trust in His perfection. I trust in His power. I trust in His resurrection, because He’s the only one that can get me through this. And He’s the only one that can make me free!”

The only way to become men is found in the only way to God—Jesus!

    Man Up: Movie Synopsis
Man Up chronicles the life of an inner city teen learning what it means to be a man amidst all the temptations and obstacles he can’t seem to avoid.

Brian (Anthony Moonie) is one summer away from being the first person in his family to attend college. All he has to do is complete a summer program and earn the scholarship he needs to make his aunt’s dream a reality. Unfortunately, his older brother Jazz (Lucius Rouser) and the friends he makes that summer could care less about their futures or his. Brian finds himself struggling with authority, envy, sexual temptation, responsibility, courage and ultimately forgiveness. But hopefully, the program director Mr. Banks (James Roberson) and a local leader (Lecrae) he encounters along the way can help him challenge his views on true masculinity.
